Inspired by the depiction of women in the seventies, especially by Jane Birkin´s character in the movie Le mouton enragé from 1974, this chair was created to challenge the ideals of beauty that are prevalent to this day.

The discreet line that runs up the back of the chairs legs is reminiscent of the seams of tights. Does the chair´s legs suddenly appear „much more elegant, more perfect and possibly even sexier“ ?

The pantyhose as an immaterial translation complements an already strong chair with its symbolic power. The design radiates calmness through the reference to well-known historical lines, but combines these with a certain playfulness and irony and thus results in a poised and original personality.
